The HYBRID SYSTEM: Three Parts, One Lining

The HYBRID SYSTEM is built from three engineered layers, from hot face to cold face.

Front part — PCW panel. 1600°C-rated SoliBoard™ PCW100 HT wool board elements handle the hot face. They are RCF and RCS risk free, and in the HYBRID SYSTEM are intended to operate up to 1300°C.

Middle part — Microporous core. A combination of Promalight 1200 and Promalight 1000 panels covers the intermediate temperature range, roughly 1000°C down to 500°C, where microporous insulation delivers its best performance.

Back part — Backup system. Depending on the application, either Low Bio-Persistence (LBP) fibre blanket or Calcium Silicate board brings the cold face down to a safe working temperature. Electrically heated furnaces use a die-electric high-density Calcium Silicate board with a composite coarse-thread fixing.
